The Gobi Desert region is one of the most untouched and mysterious places on earth, and the name itself is enough to conjure up exotic visions. The famous explorer Roy Chapman Andrews drew the world’s attention to this place when he discovered the first fossilized dinosaur egg here, in the area now known as the Flaming Cliffs. The Gobi desert cannot be imagined without the familiar sight of the two humped Bactrian camel. These huge mammals are ideal suited to the extreme conditions of the desert. Foraging on bushes that no other animal can feed on, they can survive without water for several weeks.
Camel riding is one of the unique way to travel in Mongolia. You will experience what was a common mode of transportation in ancient times and still popular today in Mongolia. This tour type covers some of the most spectacular scenery that Mongolia has to offer. Itineraries of 2 to 8 days can be arranged traversing approx. 30-35 kms a day on camel. Our itineraries are planned in the region of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan national park. You can ride on this dear animal easily with help of nomadic people. Flora and Fauna particular to our environment are observed.
