Discover Mongolia
Nomadic lifestyle is one of the major tourist attractions in Mongolia. Over the years so little has changed owing to the least populated pristine nature. Even today, on the edge of the 21st century, Mongolia remains one of the only countries to retain its ancient culture and traditions. Mongolian nomads inhabit the entire country respecting the nature, living in gers, breeding livestock-horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and camels are praised as the "five treasures". Horses are considered the "emeralds" and are highly respected among the people.
You will have an opportunity to experience their culture, traditions and hospitality by living in their way of life in a Ger for a few days and share their own and unique happiness.
You stay in extra Ger from the family. Your day to day activities may include riding horses to move herds of yaks or cattle, caring for livestock, helping to produce dairy products such as butter and cheese. It is a great way to learn more about this ancient way of life and how it is being affected by modern-day Mongolia. In exchange for helping with the animals or playing with the children, your host family will fully involve you in their domestic life.
